AN OUT-WORLD MEETING PLACE FOR MEMBERS OF SECOND LIFE ENGLISH

Phonetically augmented virtuality has come to Wlodek Barbosa's launchroom and house in Virtlantis! A number of objects have been tagged with phonetic information, such as info on pronouncing difficulties, phonetic transcription of hard words, even short quiz questions... All you need to do is to the object of your interest and go to the field. Its phonetic content relates to the words which you find in the field, usually simply the name of the object. See one example below.

It's easier to understand how it works if you try it out yourself! Just drop in and explore. Right now, in this beta version, not all objects have been augmented phonetically, because I have no edit rights with some of them. Also, the mechanism of looking up the information is a bit unwieldy... a HUD would be much better (anyone would like to help me adapt one, like the Salamader or SlateIt huds?). So far no audio files are built in (with one exception! -- can you find it?). All these improvements will come real soon now :-).

Please experiment, and let me know about unavoidable problems, OK?
